IHG runs a lot of hotel brands, and every one of them needs a website. Foundry was the shared front-end package those sites were built from, running on Adobe Experience Manager, with each brand’s look layered on top. At ICF Next I worked on its refactor as a senior front-end developer, and as the team’s lead accessibility developer.

What I did
- Worked on the Foundry refactor, the front end every new IHG brand site was built from.
- Led accessibility on the team, responsible for WCAG compliance across the components.
- Helped bring IHG Army Hotels onto it, the first brand to launch on the new package.

The same site in October 2019, the first brand to launch on the refactored Foundry.
What came of it
Foundry outlived my time on it by a long way. IHG’s luxury brand Regent was running on it by early 2020, and Army Hotels, the first site to launch on it, was still running it at the end of 2025, more than five years after I’d moved on.
